I got something in the mail this past week! It’s something I have been anticipating them for a bit now and am pretty thrilled that I have them in my hands now.
They are intellectual property (IP) awards from General Motors for 2 patents and 1 defensive publication I had the opportunity to create through my work in the active safety and trailering spaces. I am excited for the next milestone, when I can say these technologies are available in products for you to try out.
Congratulations and thanks to my co-inventors – Avesta Goodarzi, Steffen Lindenthal, Akram Abdel-Rahman, Jomo Hanley, and Norman Weigert. First of all, thank you for creating an environment where thinking differently was welcomed and valued. And secondly, thank you for teaching me how to recognize and protect potential intellectual property.
Additionally, I’d like to thank all the people that have pushed me and given me opportunities to think differently – this includes my dad, my teachers and professors, and my manager and colleagues.
