About me
Hello, I am Utkarsh. I ideate, prototype, design, and protect future trailering and active safety features for Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac, and GMC products as part of the Active Safety Advanced Development team at General Motors. So, what have I created? I promise to share my innovations as they reach the hands of our customers, so stay tuned!
Prior to this, I graduated from University of Waterloo with a BASc in Mechatronics Engineering (with Distinction and Dean’s Honor List). Two highlights of my university journey were: leading the sensor fusion and hardware integration efforts for WATonomous (Waterloo’s AutoDrive team), and conceptualizing and development of an autonomous wall painting robot as part of my capstone project.
I have an interest in all things cars (especially autonomous), robots (especially locomotion robotics), electronics, and 3d printing. Recently, I have also started to delve into personal finance as a topic of interest – I know it’s something different from the rest, but math being one of my favorite topics, I think it fits right in. If you have any opportunities in these areas or also enjoy talking about any of these topics, feel free to reach out and we can have a virtual coffee.
Also, make sure to check out my portfolio, publications, work experience, and blog!
